Eurovision stars receive 2025 Logie Award nominations

The nominations for Australian TV's night of nights, the Logie Awards, were announced today with Eurovision stars among the list.

Australia's Eurovision 2019 artist Kate Miller-Heidke was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

This is for her work as a presenter on Channel 7's The Voice.

Kate responded to the nomination in a post on Instagram.

"Well this is unexpected! I’ve been nominated for a Logie. I’m a bit shocked, and a bit bloody chuffed," she said.

"Most Popular New Talent! It must be the SPF50 moisturiser. Does this mean I’ve finally arrived? Where have I been all my life?

"While it feels both slightly amusing and vaguely fraudulent to be nominated as a “New Talent” this far into my career, nearly 20 years after my first album & TV appearance, clearly I am new to this world, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me not fall flat on my face while I learnt some new and complex ropes."

Kate is up against the following nominations:

Guy Montgomery, Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont Spelling Bee, ABC

Hailey Pinto, Home and Away, Seven Network

Jenny Tian, Taskmaster Australia, Network 10

Kylah Day, Territory, Netflix

Sofia Levin, MasterChef Australia, Network 10

The Voice, which also included 2015 Eurovision artist Guy Sebastian, was also nominated for Best Entertainment Program.

It is up against:

ABC New Year's Eve, ABC

Australian Idol, Seven Network

Countdown 50 Years On, ABC

Dancing With The Stars, Seven Network

Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight, 9Network

Other nominations include Countdown 50 Years On, ABC which hosted by former Eurovision commentator Myf Warhurst & current commentator Tony Armstrong - Best Entertainment Program.

As well as Julie Zemiro (past Eurovision commentator) for Fisk, ABC - Best Supporting Actress

Fisk is also up for Best Scripted Comedy Program

Australia's Eurovision commentator from 2009 to 2016, Sam Pang, also received a nomination.

His new show, Sam Pang Tonight, was nominated for Best Comedy Entertainment Program.

It is up against:

Hard Quiz, ABC

Have You Been Paying Attention?, Network 10

Thank God You're Here, Network 10

The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, ABC

Sam will also be hosting the show for the third year running. It will be held on Sunday, 3 August.
